  • TMCA Workshop 2012

    In Q1 2012, TAB has initiated eSecurity business challenges and strategies with its business partners and key customers.  This saw a discussion workshop was held recently outside Kuala Lumpur. The objectives of the workshop are innovating products and services that are suited to be introduced to key customers under the Information Exchange drive, and introducing latest authentication services by TAB to all present.   The workshop outcome was fruitful and provided a good insight for everyone on the importance of information security.   TAB is enthusiastic and confident to work with its key customers in providing them end-to-end security solutions for their businesses. 

  • TAB To Become The 3rd CA Provider In Malaysia


    MCMC has been granted TM Applied Business the establishment stage as Licensed Certification Authority (CA) in 15th December 2010. This establishment License valid until 14th December 2011.

  • TM eCert Official Launch

    TM had officially launched the e security initiatives branded as TM eCert in early February 2009.  


TAB offers eSecurity solutions based on PKI technology with 2048 bits RSA encryption.



1.  Certificate Authority (CA)
  By managing the full life cycles of digital certificate-based identities, Certificate (Certificate Authority) enables encryption, digital signature and authentication capabilities to be consistently and transparently applied across a broad range of applications and platforms.

• Issues user certificates and key pairs for newly registered users.
• Reissues new user certificates.
• Renews user certificates.
• Suspends user certificates.
• Revokes user certificates if they are no longer in use.
• Enables password change, deletion, copy/export of user certificates in Certificate Management module
• Updates and manages CRL (Certificate Revocation List) regularly to ensure user certificates are verified before granting any authentication services.
• Performs RA (Registration Authority) functions such as registering of sub-CA.
• Updates and manages ARL (Authority Revocation List) of sub-CA.
• Updates and publishes user certificates into directories (LDAP/AD).

2. eDoc
  eDoc is a software application for file security. It enables any type of documents to be encrypted/decrypted using certificates. eDoc will assure that only authorised users can open the files forwarded to intended recipients.


3. eWeb (Client-to-Server)
  It provides web-based PKI authentication solution which does data encryption/decryption and digital signature between web browser and server. It keeps data confidentiality by encrypting and decrypting important data to keep it secure on web transaction. It is designed to support digital signature that is necessary for web applications such as e-Procurement/e-Contract, etc.


4. eNet ( Server-to-Server)
  It is used to encrypts/decrypts transacted data in Client/Server environment. It is a server-to-server communication, one server will act as Net Client and the other server will act as Net Server.


5. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certificate
  It is a product to secure communication channel/link that ensures all data passes between the web server and browser remains private and confidential.



1. Secure eMail
  Secure eMail is used to secure email contents using PKI-based solution. The certificate that is created by CA can be used to log in into the Outlook Web Mail/Microsoft Exchange. This certificate can be used for signing and encryption. User is able to view/use other user certificate via Active Directory.

2. Registrar Authority Portal
  It is an application for users to do Online Registration to acquire their certificates. Registered users are able to manage their certificates by using Certificate Management module in the portal.
